When I was a child, my mother used to forage for wild mushrooms. It was with a mixture of fear and fascination as I watched her pick and then search in books to identify those strange and scary organisms. I was in second grade when I had to do a research on wild mushrooms and my mother helped me do the drawings. They were so beautiful, I guess it struck in my imagination!

 

From 1990 till 2000, I had the opportunity to work with the artist René Derouin. This was a wonderful experience of learning in the world of art, exploring various techniques and materials that would serve me throughout my creations.

 

My work is the result of a careful observation of the forest and of my surroundings.  It represent the many layers of nature, what we see and what is hidden from our human view, but that we sense strongly or faintly, according to our connection with nature.

I share my passion through my creations and through “Wild Mushrooms Initiation Workshops” since 1994.
